Higueruela Almansa 2008

Member Review by rugbydan14:

Really opens up after the first few sips. Hints of floral on the nose. Dark berries on the palate. Smooth finish with hint of pepper.

A hearty red wine made from old vines of the Garnacha Tintorera grape. This is an inky, ruby colored wine with initial dark berry aromas. It has floral and mineral characteristics with blackberry and cassis. It finishes with hints of black tea and licorice. From the Almansa region of southeastern Spain.
