Hewitson Shiraz Mclaren Vale the Mad Hatter 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

This Shiraz, from a 45-year-old vineyard in McLaren Vale, bears the schoolboy
nickname of its winemaker Dean Hewitson. It is a big, powerful wine, with
deliciously concentrated black and red fruits, laced with some spice and
chocolate. All seamlessly integrated into a well-structured and complex frame.
The perfect treat for the lovers of a great Australian Shiraz.

"Attractive black fruits and pepper spice. Rich and supple, Christmas pudding.
Roasted coffee bean. Lively acidity. Up to 2 years" (3 stars-Decanter, Feb
08, Amy Wislocki, S. Australia)

The 2003 Shiraz The Mad Hatter exhibits fabulous intensity, a spicy, smoky, barbecue, roasted meat, blackberry, and cassis-scented bouquet, and a rich, fresh, dense, powerful personality.
