Hewitson is dedicated to producing traditionally-made, expressive wines from the great vineyards of South Australia's famous wine regions: Adelaide Hills, Eden Valley, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and stretching to the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Geographically these regions are collectively known as The Adelaide Super Zone. This is Hewitson's backyard.

Bright red. Spicy raspberry and wild strawberry on the nose, with notes of gingerbread, pomegranate molasses and dried flowers. Silky, understated and cool, the red berry flavors nicely lifted by juicy acids and dusted by fine tannins. Finishes on a sweet raspberry note, deepening toward blackberry and cherry. A great value.
Smooth and generous, this is a lively mouthful of blackberry, black olive and sweet spice flavors, lingering enticingly on the polished, refined finish. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. Drink now through 2013.
Hewitson, a reliable winery producing distinctive wines, has fashioned two Cotes du Rhone-like Miss Harry. It is a blend of approximately 40% Grenache, 40% Shiraz, and 20% Mourvedre. Juicy, rich, longer, and intense, the 2005 Miss Harry possesses a deep ruby/purple color, black fruits, wonderful purity, and notions of licorice, flowers, pepper, and dried herbs. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
Bright ruby-red. Slightly roasted aromas of cherry, dark berries and tree bark. Intense, sweet flavors of dark berries, tar and bitter chocolate, nicely framed by harmonious acidity. This offers lovely fruit and balance for the price.
Light and fragrant, a silky wine with pretty raspberry and white chocolate flavors, lingering attractively. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvegrave;dre. Drink now.
The impressive 2003 Miss Harry GSM is a great value. Aged in old wood, it is a classic Rhone blend of 47% Grenache, 40% Shiraz, and 13% Mourvedre. Deep, full-bodied, and more powerful than previous vintages, with peppery kirsch and blackberry notes as well as hints of licorice and garrigue, tremendous density, supple tannin, and a mouthfilling, elegant style, it will provide immense pleasure over the next 2-5 years.
