The Hess Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve(1997)
A straight-shooting Hess rep told me about a recent verticle tasting he attended at the winery. He said that the '97 was not as interesting as it had been and should be drunk up. I had an un-opened case and thought I ought to give one a try.

- Soft aromas of currant, tea, olives and dusty leather.
- Quite soft and sweet on entry. Light but very pretty flavors of plum, spice and red berries. Fully integrated tannins.
