Laely Heron studied in Bordeaux and has lived in Spain, France and California. This pinot noir is fermented in stainless steel them is moved to large French oak barrels. It is classically Californian with dark cherries, plum and vanilla bean, but balanced.
Brilliant medium garnet color. This wine shows bright, assertive aromas of plum and black cherry with solid Pinot Noir character. Notes of violets, anise, and allspice are as harmonious in the wine's flavor profile as its light overlay of fine French oak.
Bright, ripe, and wonderfully delicate, with a light spiciness that persists throughout. Red berry and cherry flavors immediately appear, followed by delicious cedar notes. The finish is light and airy with elegant, earthy notes, like a bit of underbrush mixed in with the berries. Fruity and a bit one-dimensional, but offers very pretty, polished Pinot Noir character. Feels rich and silky in the mouth, with flavors of raspberries, cherries, cola and spices. Ready now.
