Winemaker's Notes:

The Sizeranne is a blend of old-vine plots from the Bessards and Méalcommunes (three top climats; Greffieux, Bessards and Hermite). The wine hassweet cassis fruit on the nose, with hints of spice and pepper providingperfect support. As befits a warm vintage, the palate is ripe and rounded, withraspberry and blackcurrant to the fore. The tannins are structured however andeverything is balanced; an excellent match for venison, roast beef and,according to Michel, mature St Félicien cheese, although I may inclineto a mature St Marcellin!.
