This 24-acre vineyard is one of the warmest sites in the Finger Lakes, providing ideal conditions for nurturing the noble grape of Germany into a classic among the Finger Lakes and other New York cool-climate wine regions. The year's growing season was particularly conducive to fully ripening the clusters and providing the structure and complexity Finger Lake Rieslings strive to achieve. Impressive aromas of citrus and apple engage the palate with rich, deep, fruit-driven flavors of kiwi, peach and mango, and a pervasive degree of complexity and finesse. The stony minerality begs for rich dishes and provides the structure that pairs deliciously with a wide variety of foods. Though they call it "Dry," there is a note of residual sugar present; yet the acids balance the wine and further enhance the nuances of seriousness with pleasure.
