Frost Cuveacute;e is specially crafted each year to best reflect the outcome of the growing season. It is a blend of Riesling and Gewuuml;rztraminer, accented by their cuveacute;e of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The brilliant, light yellow wine has aromas of lemon, pear, spicy cherry and peach which are recapitulated on the palate with the addition of a touch of lychee. It is round and juicy with a hint of sweetness and a long, crisp finish. This complex, delightful wine to enjoy on a summer day, with Thanksgiving dinner, ham salad sandwiches, smoked fish or anything in between.

Hermann Wiemer is one of a handful of Finger Lakes wineries that are elevating the quality of New York wine to a point that deserves nationwide recognition. If their outstanding Rieslings and other varietal wines are a bit too pricey for you, they now offer the outstanding value-priced Frost Cuveacute;e. This odds-and-ends blend (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) carries fresh aromas of apple, lemon zest and strawberry with shadings of rose petal and nutmeg. Slightly off-dry but impeccably balanced and deceptively long on the finish, this refreshing wine is difficult not to like. Try with seafood risotto or any light fare mdash; this Frost is just the antidote for the hot months ahead.

An off-dry blend of Riesling, Gerwurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Medium alcohol and low acidity. Serve chilled.

Winemaker's Notes:

With each vintage, grapes present different flavors and intensities. As a result, Frost Cuvée is specially crafted each year to best reflect the outcome of the growing season. A differing blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, creates a smooth and approachable off-dry blend. There are bright fruit and floral notes up front while light pear and a touch of spice grace the palate. Refreshing, yet complex, Frost Cuvée is a perfect wine for any occasion, from Thanksgiving dinner to summer sunsets, and everything in between. Food pairing: Full spice dishes, Asian and Mexican cuisine, BBQ
