This marriage sealed a fruitful family alliance which was to give birth to champagne Henriot. 1808 : The House of Henriot was officially founded by Apolline Henriot, widow of Nicolas Simon Henriot. She undertook the task of making available the very private Champagne Henriot in her father's vineyard in Bouzy and sold her wines under the name "Veuve Henriot Ainé". The House cultivates a very particular style, valuing time, patience, and the pursuit of perfection. It chooses the best wines from the best "crus", demanding the most careful work from the vineyard and cellar workers. The family’s knowledge of the terroirs and blending skill makes the wines of Champagne Henriot regognizable among all others. The style : Champagne Henriot is commmited to offering wines with a strong personality centered around the family’s philosophy of wine making. Read less

Very good NV sparkler. Pale straw color. Shy aromas of toast and lemon peel. Citrus and yeast on the palate. Very crisp and clear.

Crisp style with good acidity and flavors of green apples, pears, citrus, and a bit of minerality. Has a touch of cream and vanilla on the finish.

A beautifully fine mousse indicates the class of this finely molded wine. It has some weight, flavors of green apples, with hints of fresh apricots. There is extreme freshness here, the style dry but rich. This bottling tastes young and would be worth aging six months. Editors' Choice.

There is great intensity to this finely crafted Champagne. It's rich and toasty, with flavors of ripe gooseberries and, in this example, some good bottle age. Henriot, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Burgundy, is obviously on a good streak at the moment.

Firm and toasty with hints of tropical fruit mixing with notes of quince lemon zest smoky mineral ginger and white pepper. This finds a balance between its fresh lively character and a sweet juicy component ending with a long mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2021. -AN Wine Spectator.

Light yellow with a delicate bead. Smoky pear, quince and orange on the nose, with faint yeastiness adding depth. Brisk and dry, displaying finely etched orchard fruit flavors and a jolt of bitter lime zest on the back end. The clean, focused, firm finish repeats the smoky note. I like this wine's finesse.
