For all you Veuve Clicquot lovers out there, this Champagne is far and away superior. . . and also much harder to find, but if you find it buy it and rejoice. It's softer and rounder than Veuve, and far more elegant. Hints of white each and and other bright stone fruit.

Dichtes, anhaltendes Aufschäumen mit feinen, regelmässigen Bläschen. Im Geschmack ausdrucksstark und erfrischend, mit Noten von Zitrusfrüchten und gelben Früchten, blumige Aromen von feinem Gebäck. Im Gaumen lebhafter, frischer und ausgewogener Auftakt mit Noten von feinem Gebäck, Gewürzen und Früchten.

The colour is characterised by a brilliant light straw-gold. Effervescence is dense and persistent, with fine, regular bubbles. Initially the nose is precise, expressive and refreshing, with notes of citrus and yellow fruit; floral fragrances (vine flowers, elderflowers) and pastry aromas (brioche, toast, grilled almond) follow. A lively, fresh and balanced attack, with pastry, spice (vanilla) and fruity (morello cherry, candied plum) notes on the palate. The full texture precedes a clean, refreshing finish marked by citrus fruit aromas.

This is an elegant, medium-bodied Champagne with complex floral tones and good yeast, intensity on the palate, and a crisp, clear finish with good acid. It is bright gold, with toasty pear and apple aromas, a thick and lively texture. The long finish offers an exceptional maple tone.
