Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Here the nose juxtaposes an airy but not bright array of red berry aromas plus earth and stone hints that lead to more refined middle weight flavors that culminate in a tight, complex and mouth coating finish where the tannins are prominent but fine.... Burghound. A Pinot Noir wine from Burgundy in France. 2006 Gouges, Domaine Henri Nuits St Georges les Chenes Carteaux Premier Cru 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

Even deeper in color. A nose of dark raisins and black fruits – plums and prunes – and tea leaves. On the palate, very ripe without being hot, viscous and silky, sweet with dark chocolate flavors. Smoky and mineral with juicy acid- ity that makes the wine succulent. Finishes with a meaty, sneaky tannic earthy character.
