Heger Pinot Gris Baden 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Pinot Gris is an uncommon varietal in Germany, but this version is brought to us by one of the most highly respected estates in Baden, one of the warmest German wine-growing regions. Compared to wines of this variety grown in Italy, France and the US, this version is rounder and softer, making in eminently drinkable and food-friendly. Aromas and flavors include the typical stone fruits such as peach, apricot and nectarine. Soft and inviting, yet bone-dry, this wine is quaffable, and with its 1-liter bottle and twist-off closure, it also presents an excellent bargain.
