Hedges Cellars Cms White 2015

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Intensely fruity nose is backed up with strong mineral notes and pretty wild flower tones, lots of perfumed, almost tropical fruit notes and lovely backed fruit tones add depth and complexity – A bit of an odd bird in the mouth with a bitter orange tone to the fruit, rather rich and yet at the same time bright with good mineral cut, a touch almondy with dried pear and apple fruit notes. A curious wine that is rather big and rich in the mouth yet finishes with a piercing quality and some bitter root and licorice tones that recall some Spanish white. Complex and engaging 89pts

Hedges Family Estate:
We used inspiration and determination to create a distinctive place to grow the grapes that We hoped would be well-suited to the terroir. Building a French chateau was a natural way to bring our Old World family's heritage to Eastern Washington.

Great flavor and balance. There should be more white blends like this.

Sweet almond and spice nose with healthy minerality. Palate is oily, with darker minerality, but a backbone of soft cream. A pretty complex wine, with even a bit of chocolate and coffee and medicine.

Excellent crisp green fruits. On the dry side with lovely color and nose. Can be enjoyed alone or with seafood.

Ripe pear and pineapple aromas dominate the bouquet with notes of banana, candied apple, grapefruit, grass, anise, caramel, and gooseberry. That same ripe pear and pineapple are the more prominent flavors, as well as some herb, fig, and sweet fruit notes. The mouth feel is nicely viscous combined with crisp acidity.

CMS White is a fresh and vibrant wine that effortlessly balances body and depth from the Chardonnay spicy aromatics from the Marsanne and structured mineral flavors from the Sauvignon Blanc. CMS White is perfect as a summer aperitif or as an accompaniment to a variety of seafood and shellfish. Chardonnay- Marsanne- Sauvignon Blanc.

Creamy vanilla and ripe pear transition into grass, mineral, and apple aromas with hints of banana, citrus peel, and fig. Green apple, grass, and mineral dominate the flavors with some banana and vani
