Hazyblur Shiraz Baroota 2002

Winemaker's Notes:

93 points Robert Parker: Revealing a dense purple color, tremendous ripeness, and sensational extract as well as glycerin, the 2002 Shiraz Baroota is fashioned from 25-year-old vines, and spent time in a combination of 40% French and 60% American oak, much of it new. That's apparent in the perfume of roasted vanilla intermixed with white chocolate, blackberries, and currants. It also possesses a lavishly rich flavor profile, a huge texture, massive fruit, and a long finish. The tannin component is well-concealed by the wine's glycerin and boisterous alcohol (15%). It should drink well for 7-8 years. (Oct 2004)
