External Reviews for Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards Gewürztraminer Finger Lakes
An unusual example of the more reserved style of Gewürztraminer with subtle scents of ginger and spice up front, followed by understated flavors of rose and potpourri. The crisp finish is quite dry and winds up with a peach accent. Drink up before 2011.
Located on the East side of Seneca Lake in the so called "Banana Belt", Hazlitt Vineyards has been making wine in New York's Finger Lakes region for 25 years. Grape growers since the 1800's, the Hazlitt family has access to the best grapes available in the region. That's why wines like this Gewurztraminer are so full of character and charm. Wine & Spirits Magazine scored it 90 points and said "An elegant Gewurz, this has gentle aromas of peach and spiced litchi with a floral top note. The flavors remain tropical, the finish long and poised. For Hunan chicken."
