Very herbaceous and minty nose, green notes battling with black currant fruit, bay leaf, marked by green – narrow and compressed entry, palate is full of green herbal tones and shallow fruit, some black fruit but green and a bit extracted right through the finish (83-84)

Süssfruchtiges Bukett nach Cassis und Pflaumen, feine Röstaromen und zarte Bitterschokoladenoten. Feine würzige und pfefferige Aromen runden das Bukett ab. Weicher, schmelziger Auftakt, kräftige Struktur, dunkelbeeriger Fruchtextrakt und feine Röstaromen im harmonischen Abgang.

Chateau Batailley 2007 is of purple colour and a fresh cassis fruit in the nose. Hints of violets, plums, blackberries and cherries, cedars, tobacco and chocolate. Elegant velvety tannins on the palate, dense with good depth, complex and a precise structure with a good definition of the fruit and a long finish.
