VQPRD 18 Drink 2006-07 90 per cent Assyrtiko, 5 per cent Aidani, 5 per cent Athiri. Unoaked. All vines planted on own roots on this hot, dry and windy volcanic island. Old vines with very low yields (12 hl/ha in a good year). No oak, fantastic acidity; mineral and citrus notes. The pear-drop character tones down with age. Bone dry but so intense it seems to have a slight sweetness. Stunning wine. Very very long. Classy.

Astor Wines & Spirits
Coming from the Greek island of Santorini and made from 100% of the indigenous grape, Assyrtiko, this white will simply delight you. Smokey, with notes of honeysuckle and citrus, this wine is laced with a focused minerality.

Floral, with fragmented and well balanced acidity and minerality, this assyrtiko made wine is a wonderfull ambassador for its kind! 2005 would be lovely till 2009 I think.
