Harvest Estate Marlborough Pinot Noir 2011

Member Review by michaelgregg:

Harvest Estate 2011 Pinot Noir captures the quintessential contradiction of cool-climate Pinot Noir of the Awatere with the fruit forward Pinot Noir of the Wairau Valley bringing together – fragrant, ripe fruit yet delicate and subtle minerality and savoury spice. Lifted aromas of dark cherries and a palate of earthy savouriness with elegant flinty tanins. Creating a wine capturing the true ‘Essence of Marlborough’. Great food match with red meats such as venison, roasted leg of lamb or duck breast, served with and oven roasted baby beets.
