Complex aromas of ripe cherries, violets and cedar are followed by flavors of perfectly ripe, firm black cherries and mixed red and black berries. Allspice and coffee notes complement a long, multi-faceted finish in this 'True Sonoma Coast' Pinot Noir.

A blend of various vineyards from the far or 'true' Sonoma Coast, and also Hartford Court s highest-production Pinot Noir. Always beautiful and balanced, the 07 in particular is remarkable for its silky tannins and overall seamless quality. Really excites for the complexity of currant, cola, licorice and cedar flavors.

Hartford Family Winery produces outstanding Sonoma County Pinot Noirs from prime locations throughout the county. This Pinot sourced predominately from the estate's Far Coast Vineyard, located in the Sonoma Coastal Mountain Range-north of the Russian River and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This cool and often foggy, coastal climate preserves natural acidity in the grapes and helps delineate purity of fruit flavors, balanced acidity, layers of complexity and fine grained tannins. Wine Enthusiast magazine scored it 94 points and the Wine Advocate scored it 93 points saying "The brilliant 2007 Pinot Noir Land’s Edge Vineyard (a Sonoma Coast mountain site) also comes from Dijon clones, but it is a deeper, richer, full-bodied effort. Its dark ruby color is accompanied by a sweet, floral, raspberry, and black cherry-scented bouquet with the wood component pushed to the background. Broad, deep, rich, and impressively endowed, it should drink well for 5-8 years." Very limited!!
