Hart & Mcgarry Merlot 2006

Member Review by JimSir:

What a nice surprise. A 2005 Napa Merlot. The smell of dark berries and and the taste of dark cherries and currents with a nice lingering finish. A sleeper of a wine. If Merlot is not your usual choice try this one.

What a great taste from the first sip to the licking of te lags. I was pleasantly surprised that this vintage had so much sneak & definition to it's finish. This was considered as a great buy @$12.99 per bottle. The 2005 merlot has great cork and opens with that resilient sound of a great beginning, followed by lingering fruits to a suttle finish.

Four and a half glasses

Most of the grapes for this Napa Valley Merlot come from vineyards in the Yountville area, which is one of the coolest growing regions in Napa due to the marine influence from San Pablo Bay south of Napa Valley. The cooler climate produces grapes with big tannins and concentrated flavors.
