A great drinking wine. Subtle and young. It has a complex nose, but very light on taste. Won't overpower your dinner and is inexpensive, so serve it at your next dinner party!
Color: ruby to purple - Nose: red fruit, elderberry jam, smokey sweet, white pepper, salty - Taste: sweet, jammy, oaked, berry, light. Just a drinking wine.
I had been wanting to try a pinot noir - not because of "Sideways" (the movie) but because of the buzz created after the movie. Being a budget drinker, I was happy to come across this for $12. Mellow, tangy nose. Medium bodied, citrusy, a bit of strawberry. Smooth aftertaste. Very nice - now I know what the Paul Giamatti character was getting all heated up over!
