Harlan Estate Red Bordeaux Blend Napa Valley the Maiden 1997

Winemaker's Notes:

The Maiden represents the second selection from the estate. It is a highly detailed and sumptuous wine, remarkably faithful to the vineyard's pedigree. Accordingly, the resemblance to her "big sister" is unmistakable.

Harlan Estate:
Set in the western hills of Oakville, rising above the tabled Napa Valley benchlands, the estate is over 240 acres of natural .splendor; oak-studded knolls and valleys, roughly fifteen percent of which are under vine, planted to the classic varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot. Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdoc. But more than that it is a family homestead; a place of great inspiration, carved from the raw land, built for generations.

Saturated ruby. Pungent, roasted aromas of black raspberry, currant and maple syrup; distinct suggestions of surmaturite. Superb sweetness and roasted ripeness in the mouth. The tannins spread out to coat the entire palate, but ultimately come across... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 1997 Harlan Estate The Maiden 750ml
