Hardin Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2006
Hardin is a cult Cabernet Sauvignon at an incredible value. The bouquet flavor and texture of the wine far exceeds its price. Like the secret to Coke the source of the fruit is kept secret but past vintages have been sourced from the famous ToKalon vineyard and Dr. Crane's vineyard. Made from a blend of low yield Cabernet fruit the wine is aged for 18 months in fine French oak. This is full-throttle Napa Cabernet with gobs of rich dense sexy fruit and a bold expressive palate. You cannot beat the value of this Cabernet.

Dense ruby/purple with elegant notes of black and red currants intermixed with licorice, subtle smoke, and striking minerality, this wine is deep, full-bodied, and opulent, with velvety tannins. It is already approachable and should continue to drink well for at least another 10ndash;15 years. A sleeper of the vintage and an excellent value, the good news is that there are 1,456 cases of this blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec.
A Cult Cabernet for $30/bottle?! Well, wait until you taste the Hardin and see if you don't agree that the bouquet, flavor and texture of the wine do not suggest something much more expensive. Made from a blend of low yield Cabernet fruit from the famous ToKalon vineyard and Dr. Crane's vineyard, the wine is aged for 18 months in expensive oak. This is full-throttle Napa Cabernet with gobs of rich, dense, sexy fruit and a bold, expressive palate. Make no mistake - this is not going to remain a $30 Cabernet for very long.
A classic deep, plush Napa Cabernet with lots of ripe cassis fruit, sweet tannins and oak.
