- Alcoholic fermentation in French Taransaud oak vats. Only new French oak barrels were used for all of the malolactic fermentation. The various lots of wines and barrels were kept separate until December. The mixture was returned to the same barrels to acquire greater complexity. The wine was stored in barrels for 18 months. Color :Deep red with bright violet tones.Aroma :Ripe black fruit rimmed with hints of tobacco, damp earth, chocolate and toasted oak.Flavor :On entering the mouth, good body, spicy. Wine that must be aged in the bottle to soften its formidable tannins.

- Deep red with bright violet tones. Ripe black fruit rimmed with hints of tobacco, damp earth, chocolate and toasted oak. On entering the mouth, good body, spicy. Wine that must be aged in the bottle to soften its formidable tannins. Ripe and focused, with suave toast carrying the dark currant and blackberry as coffee, mineral and vanilla notes ripple underneath. Lengthy finish, too, with nice, latent concentration. -Wine Spectator

- Wonderful wine now drinking fine 7 years out. Great colour. Ripe dark black fruit rimmed with hints of plush earthiness, bitter chocolate and toasted oak. The younger vintages have more interesting toast to them great grip with focus, with suave toast carrying the dark currant and blackberry as coffee (less in younger vintages), minerally. This is mountain cab from Chile at almost its finest. (Tiene etanol muy elegante)
