This was a funky Pinot - really surprised me. Tons of musty earth on the nose, which carried over on the palate of earth, mineral, and light red fruits. Very old-world style.
Had at winery and it tasted very different. Rose, violet, and chocolate aromas lead to dark cherry and chocolate flavors. Little bit hot, and didn't have that caramel note that I liked so much. Maybe needs more time or more air?
Abundant cherry, raspberry, and blackberry fruits in a cascade of flavors that are accented with a very ingriguing caramel note. Very nicely done, and distinctive.

Distinct for its ripe plum and blackberry flavors, with a dash of fresh earth. Intense and focused, with a persistent finish that keeps the fruit front and center. Drink now through 2011.
Here's a pretty Pinot that captures the balanced terroir of Anderson Valley. It's not a big, ageworthy wine, more of a village-type, but elegant and savory in cherry, cola and spice flavors. The crispness makes it an exceptionally food-friendly red wine.
