Handcraft Petite Sirah 2010
Jammy fruit from beginning to end----starting with aromas of blueberry pie, nutmeg and pepper. In the mouth, flavors expand to include boysenberry, plum, blueberry and spice. This full bodied wine has a bold tannin structure and balanced acidity that lead to long finish. This big wine is anything but “petite.”
Tried this wine last night. The spice and black pepper nicely frames the tacos we were having. Can't wait to try again with a slightly smoked peppercorn crusted Prime rib.
Fruit forward wine that doesn't become jammy. Nice acidity to balance the fruit with a soft tannins on the finish. There's a lot to like in this wine.

This jammy red offers flavors of wild blackberry and strawberry that are rather plush and full-bodied, with details of spice and dried herb on the finish. Drink now.
This wine’s savory scents of nuts and dark-roast coffee seem as driven by petite’s unique fragrance as they are by oak. Firm, fine tannins surround a supple core of fruit, while citrusy acidity keeps it lifted. Drink it over the next several years with braised beef cheeks.
A really nice evocation of this variety, this is made in a soft style, with a Merlot-like velvety texture. But there’s nothing shy about the flavors: It bursts with ripe, jammy cherry, grilled pancetta, crushed pepper and sandalwood, and has a long, spicy finish.
