Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: `Bright red. Alluringly scented bouquet of strawberry and blackberry preserves with Asian spice and potpourri notes adding complexity. Silky red fruit preserve flavors are framed by gentle tannins with the spicy quality repeating on the back end. The finish clings impressively and echoes the sweet fruit notes. This sexy wine is drinking well now.` Eric Hamachers Pinot Noirs emphasize his credo of elegance over power and are sensuous wines with broad dark notes of earth and spice. On the palate they are richly-textured with a lingering satin finish. Each bears Erics signature winemaking style of soft tannins and near perfect balance.

Winemaker's Notes:

This wonderful Pinot is fresh and fruit-forward yet broad, complex and layered. As the "younger brother" to the Hamacher Pinot, it's perfectly priced to complete a memorable weeknight dinner!
