User Reviews for Halleck Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast Hillside Cuvée
Add your reviewIt has a bright, spicy strawberry nose. Also has aromas of cranberry, red raspberry and notes of white pepper. The palate is a nice mixture of pepper, spice and flora, red fruit. Flavors of pomegranate, red fruits, baking spices, white pepper and some minerality. It's pretty and vibrant. Finishes a bit tart. Time should mellow that out. 3/10/12
This wine is a classic Sonoma Coast Pinot. It displays all red fruit. Unlike it Russian River brethren which lead primarily with dark cherry, this wine shows notes of pomegranate, cranberry, red raspberry and even strawberry. It finishes with a signature white pepper spice, typical of Sonoma Coast Pinots. It has the bright acid that is a calling card of all Halleck Vineyard wines.
