Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
90 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark, rich and voluptuous. Mocha, espresso, plum, black cherry and intense spices all meld together in a textured, layered wine loaded with class and personality. As always, the Hall Cabernets are forward, fruit-driven and super-rich. This is a great introduction to the house style. Drink: 2013-2019. (Nov 2013)
Wonderful wine. Balanced robust red, very smooth. Delicious when served with filet mignon.
This is a big Napa Cabernet that needs to be aged. That being said, I just had to open one to try it. Enjoyed this with a nice grilled skirt steak. Pours a viscous dark violet color. Reminds me of a nice Syrah almost. Some deep rich red hues on the edges. Aromas of currants, cassis, charred wood, mushroom dirt and blackberry jam. This hits the palate in full force. Lots of currants and cassis. In the middle, more currants and cassis, but there is plenty of charcoal flavors and blackberry undertones. Finishes just like the middle. This is a very complex, tasty, full bodied Cabernet. Lots of rich tannins coat the back of the palate. Can drink now, but should be done with food. Can age nicely for at least 8-10 years.
Excellent pallet with smooth finish after decant. Great pairing with beef.

Winemaker's notes: Displaying deep, dark garnet color and lovely aromas of marion berry, bramble, chocolate plum and all-spice; the palate is lush and concentrated with boysenberry, cassis, anise and semisweet chocolate. Rewarding now, this wine will continue to evolve and delight for 5-10 years.
With its deep purple hue, the HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon drives complex aromas of jammy blackberry puree, rich cassis, Asian Five-Spice and dark chocolate from the glass.
Aromas of blackberry, cassis, spices and rich dark chocolate from the glass. Both dense and opulent in texture, the perfect platform for brawny black and briar fruit flavors that persist through the velvety, enduring finish.
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon makes a good introduction to the house style. Layers of expressive dark red fruit, flowers, licorice and mint are nicely woven into an expressive, textured style that is very appealing. Anticipated maturity: 2011andndash;2017.

Bright red-ruby. Expressive, open-knit aromas of currant and chocolate. Supple and sweet but a bit simple today, with dark fruit, chocolate and earth flavors showing good thickness and intensity but in need of more energy. Finishes a tad herbal, with substantial gritty, tongue-staining tannins.
