Hall "Kathryn Hall" Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

The nearly opaque purple-black color of this wine hints at its depth and power. Rife with aromas of violets, cocoa powder, stewed raspberries, blackberry nectar, and roasted herbs; the wine is luscious and dense with a sweet, focused core. Dark cherries, blackberry preserves, black spice and roasted nut flavors intermingle across a seemingly endless finish. This vintage of HALL "Kathryn Hall" Cabernet Sauvignon will continue to improve over 15 or more years of cellaring.

Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Deep, rich and concentrated, the wine boasts black jammy fruits, cassis, freshly plowed earth and dark chocolate. The opulence and massive texture is undeniable while the glycerol-like body and silky tannins glide through an expansive, delectable finish. The wine will reward 10-15 years of cellaring, but it would be regrettable not to try a bottle at release.

Good saturated ruby-red. Superripe aromas of dark fruits, coffee and mocha. Sweet and large-scaled if a bit unrefined, with a smooth texture and considerable alcoholic power to the chocolatey fruit. Plenty of ripeness and depth here but today the ... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2009 Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
