Food Pairings for Haight-Brown Morning Harvest
The same formula as the Picnic Red, the winemaker describes this as being made in a "different style." It is definitely aged longer, and has stronger oaking with some nice notes of toast in the nose and mouth. Nice notes of fruit on the palate, possibly blackberry, although no one fruit stood out for me. It has that tangy "bite" at the end that I often find in Marechal Foch wines, and additional aging should smooth that out.
