Smooth, mellow, medium-bodied red, something like a Rioja. Great with the Greek meats and cheeses we were eating.
- The nose reminds me of plastic, but is still intriguing. - Medium body - I'd serve this as a table wine - I tried it at Dafni Greek Taverna in Times Square, NYC. It paired well with spanakopita and Greek salad. If you're in NYC and want to try this wine, definitely try it at Dafni: www.dafnitaverna.com/ 84/100
This wine showed pretty poorly at a recent tasting - the fruit and tannin could barely stand up to the alcohol and that was listed as only 12.5 %. Fun wine if you're in the Greek Islands, but so much better out there for the price.
