External Review by We Speak Wine:

Bright full red. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, licorice and violet. At once savory and sweet, with a slightly chunky texture to the flavors of black fruits and menthol. This tactile wine offers good palate presence and ripeness and finishes with chewy tannins. A lightly spiced, medium-bodied red, which offers enough red berry and plum character to carry the herb-tinged finish. Drink now. 3,000 cases made. -NW Tasting Notes: A bold wine with aromas of ripe red fruits and hints of coconut. It is dense and fruity, yet well balanced and structured, with soft tannins and a lingering dry finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, pork and pastas in meat sauce. - WineryProduction: 2,500 casesAltitude: 3,149 feet above sea levelMicroclimate: Winkler 3, semi-arid high mountain climate, with hot, sunny days and cool nights (very broad diurnal difference), annual average temperature of 15.5°C and average annual rainfall of 181.7 mmIrrigation: Flood irrigation with pure...

Hacienda del Plata:
Amongst the mountain countryside in the 18th century, Hacienda del Plata was born. Throughout the generations the Gonzales-Pinto family embodied the secrets of their environment; the silence of the mountains, and the tranquil and quiet character of the ranchers. The irresistible mysticism of the Andes captured in their wines.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
