Haak Vineyard & Winery Madeira Jacquez 2006

Member Review by tabednar:

One of only 3 wineries in the USA that make this variety of wine. Made with 100% Jacquez grapes, grown in the Gulf Coast Region of Texas. It has a deep, caramel color, as well as aromas of coffee, caramel, walnuts and plums. Strong, overpowering butterscotch aroma and taste. These flavors are rich and balanced, with a long, sumptuous finish on the palate.

Big, rich oxidized flavors. Smooth, full body. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this wine.
