This 2009 2 Vines Chard has green apple notes mostly but also some pear and citrus. The amount of fruit is on the light side for this simple wine. My rating--16.5
This is an amazing blend. One of my all time favorite wines. Big tannins, great finish, so smooth right out of the bottle. This wine continues to develop in the glass as you drink it. A great wine for a great price.
The 2008 rated 91 points from Wine Spectator. I'd not be surprised if this 2009 vintage scores 90+ points. It is a good bIg Red blend from Washington's biggest winery with all the grapes sourced from the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The AVA includes Canoe Ridge overlooking the Columbia river. Columbia Crest wines are 2 Vines $8 entry level offering, Grand Estates $11 very drinkable Columbia Valley offering, this new 3H $15 tier which is a true bargain and the reserves that include the WS #1 2009 Wine of the year. In a sea of wine during the Horse Heaven Hills trail drive this stood out as a fruit forward blend with well balanced tanins and acid, a nice smooth finish, that is ready to drink now. This will now doubt only improve with up to 5+ years of aging.

Smoky, ripe, honeyed fruit and grapiness are pleasant on this light to medium-bodied wine, which possesses decent acidity and length. It should be drunk over the next year.
This wine is a perfect example of delicious Chardonnay that has survived the price increase that has plagued so many other Chardonnays. Medium to full bodied with plenty of layered apple and pear fruit culminating with a tangy spicy finish. A great value in domestic Chardonnay that shouldnrsquo;t be overlooked.
Herersquo;s a fresh and fragrant white delivering an enticing mouthful of apple and citrus flavors that echo on the harmonious finish. From one of Washingtonrsquo;s biggest names; this vintage is lighter than usual, but the wine is a very good value, as usual. Drink now.
Columbia Crestrsquo;s Chardonnay is a perennial ldquo;best buyrdquo; pick and this rendition shows every sign of making the grade again. Pineapple and layers of butterscotch, cinnamon and nutmeg are expressed in the nose. Clean and spicy on the palate, this medium-bodied winersquo;s lingering aftertaste makes this a wine to savor.
Cross my heart, it is impossible to separate the delicious, tropical orange grove fruitiness of this wine from the full-figured, butter and oak infused texture. Lifting acidity lends support and length, making this smooth wine the perfect match for any occasion.
From Washington comes this easy-to-find and easy-to-afford Chardonnay. Itrsquo;s bright in flavor, supple in texture and brimming with pineapple cream and spice notes that harmonize nicely through the generous finish. Drink now through 2003.
Tight, lean and green, with right, appley fruit and apple-pie spices. This is stylish juice, forward and delicious, with a refreshing liveliness that invites a second glass.
Bright and juicy, a lively mouthful of pear and melon fruit, with spicy notes sneaking in on the open-textured finish.
