Guy Saget le Domaine Saget Pouilly-Fumé 2011
The Pouilly Fumé Le Domaine Saget is delicate, lively and fruity, evoking reminiscent aromas of broom and black currant leaves, a very nice complexity of citrus fruits with tones of acacia blossom. There are lots of flowery fruit flavors on the palate, a good acid balance and a pleasing after-taste with good length.
Definitely very green with some tart grapefruit. Not life-changing but still very nice. Goes great with seafood or grilled chicken.
I'm finding this Sancerre to be clean and crisp, with a distinctly citrusy, orangey-lemonade iced tea flavor. Very drinkable on its own, but is pairing wonderfully well with roasted chicken and garden salad with a creamy mustard-thyme dressing. Medium bodied. Delicious! Would definitely buy more of this!
