- Aromatic; Powerful; Balanced
Opaque garnet color; almost black. Impressive nose with animal flavors, réglisse and cassis. Medium to full-bodied; round with smooth tannins; strong ethyls and flavors of strawberries, ripe cherries and plums. Well balanced with a persistent finish. Quite young; will be even grander within the next two years. Cellarable for 2 to 5 years. Will go well with roasts, barbecued steaks with lots of seasonings, or strong soft paste cheeses.
