Gustave Lorentz Cremant d'Alsace NV

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Fruity and bright with pear and apple fruit topped with a hint of clay and quinine and a touch of sweet gum. Moderately sweet on entry though with great acids keeping things fresh in the mouth. Simple and easy going with sweet yellow apple fruit. The RS here really adds some weight on the palate. Mousse dissipate fairly quickly. easy, fresh sweet/tart finish. 85pts

A rich heritage and long history bound up with the Knights of St John and the Knights Templar, it allows through its chalky marl soil, the finesse of the Rieslings, and more recently, the Pinot-Gris, to shine through Read less
