Ripe peach, passion fruit and lemon drop on the nose. Rich, juicy papaya fruit is clean and refreshing. An intense spätlese, exhibiting a piercing smoke and herb scent backed by apricot and pineapple flavors. Rich yet elegant, with well-integrated acidity and a mouth-watering finish. Opulent and concentrated, exhibiting mango, passion fruit and stone aromas and flavors that melt into the fleshy frame. Therersquo;s enough acidity to match its richness and keep it focused on the long finish. Drink now through 2020.

Massively expressive, both aromatically and on the palate, the 2003 Riesling Spauml;tlese Nackenheimer Rothenberg is an outstanding medium-bodied effort. Its creamy flint, mineral, and spice scents lead to a broad personality that is awash in ripe fruits. Poached pears, spices, red currants, and cassis make up its complex, generous character. Drink this beauty over the next 12ndash;13 years.
