- Pineapple, grapefruit and tangerine scents, complicated by flowers and subtle oak. Dense and chewy in the mouth, with a distinctly mentholated aspect. Amazingly penetrating for a wine with 14.8% alcohol. But this is bone-dry, with less than one gram per liter residual sugar. Powerful and very long on the aftertaste. Perhaps more structured than the equally rich 2000. -International Wine Cellar
