While there's nothing wrong with it, its just a plain insipid white. Some acidity and crispness on the attack, barely any fruits and a warm, if short, finish. Functional only.

Nose of dusty earth with fruity notes of blackberry and other dark berry fruits. Nice level of acidity shows in this wine. The overall balance between the various elements of the wine is fairly decent. The wine did seem to come up a bit thin on the body and mouthfeel especially at first, but it got a little better as the evening went on. In summary, this was not a bad wine by any stretch, but there were some areas where it came up just a bit short of where I wanted it to be.
Deep ruby red in colour, rich in berries, hint of spice, elegant and bit mellow on palate, long finish. Medium tannins. This wine was accompanied with Northern Indian cuisine at The Rang Mahal (RWS).
Well structured, smooth, medium bodied with intense berries and spice.

Wine Tasting NotesDeep, very dark color. Spicy with small soft fruit and delicate woody aromas. A huge, tannic wine. Aromas of blackcurrant buds and vanilla. A harmonious balance between an imperceptible acidity and strongly present tannins mellowed by prolonged refining in the wood.
In 1978, Marcel Guigal introduced the first vintage of "La Landonne," a small and propitiously located parcel in the Côte-Brune subregion of Côte-Rôtie. More structured and brooding than Guigal's famed "La Mouline," "La Landonne" is truly a wine for the ages.
