The 2006 Guidalberto is a showstopper. This opulent, super-ripe wine bursts from the glass with the essence of sweet, dark fruit, smoke, tar and licorice, showing stunning depth in its richness and expansiveness. Everything is in the right place, as the wine possesses superb balance, particularly in the way its structural components are beautifully woven into the fabric of its fruit. Readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this wine, yet it should continue to improve to age 20, perhaps beyond. An undeniable success, Tenuta San Guido?s 2006 Guidalberto is a great example of an overachieving read more...

"Guidalberto" 2006 Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto is a blend of 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Sangiovese. The nose is very long and persistant, and on the palate is already evident and very well-balanced and persistant structure. Round and elegant.
