Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast 2006
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
For the money, this is a great claret. Smooth, supple and tasty. Try it!
I believe I tried the "Estate" Guenoc. not sure if this is the same, but it's all I found on Snooth. - Tasted at Lee's Wine Experience 11/7/09
color - red/black nose-herbal: sour cherry mouth - leather, red plum finish - medium long drink it
I found this cab blend fairly hot, but otherwise had some hints of black fruits. It went well with the pasta dish we had at dinner (no tomato-based sauce), and I'd venture that it'd go well with meat dishes.
This was an ok wine, it seemed to have a little bitter taste that took a while to get used to. Good.
smooth and light, not oaky or spicy. similar to beaujolais but not as fruit forward.
smooth and easy to drink but not lacking in body. excellent bang for your buck. one of my favorites.
