- ($22-$36) Deep red. Superripe aromas of red berries and smoky oak, complicated by a pronounced menthol note and a whiff of roasted meat. Pliant black cherry and coffee flavors offer considerable appeal, but the wine's acids do not seem to be thoroughly integrated yet. Not especially complex, this cabernet offers good sweetness of fruit and generosity of texture but also shows a hard, edgy quality. Finishes a little short and hot, with big tannins and a note of chocolate mint.
