- From the Weinviertel (vine-fear-tul) in the northeast of Austria comes this stellar white wine made from the ever-so-popular food wine, Grüner Veltliner. Fresh fruit on the palate, dry with notes of pear and powder that will trickle down your throat easily. It's the "it" liter-size wine of the moment here at Astor and it's organic too.

- Rather dry, but I really like that about this wine. Tropical fruits and flowers on the nose. Tastes lightly of pear, but lingers in the mouth for a few seconds as it becomes almost smoky by the end. An excellent wine for under 10 dollars!
