Winemaker's Notes:

Fred Loimer owns 26 hectares planted with a range of varieties, around Langenlois, in the Kamptal region of Lower Austria. Unlike many Austrian producers who go for an overly rich and sweet style, Fred gets full ripeness in the vineyard yet ferments to dryness, managing to produce wines with lovely definition, zest and balance on the palate. This is a classic dry Grüner Veltliner, with spicy, peppery, and even exotic perfumes of grapefruit and pineapple. Medium bodied, with good levels of acidity and minerality on the palate, making this a wine of some depth and complexity.
