Tart pears and apples greet the nose over a bed of fresh yeasty notes and a touch of strawberry cream. On the palate this is citrus at first, gaining nuanced apple and strawberry flavors across the mid palate, all paired with a gentle yeasty character. A hint of creaminess grows on the palate, along with a gentle underlying sweetness that lends this a fruity nature that slips back under the acidity on the finish, a finish which shows a lovely hint of herb and faint red fruit notes. Almost a rose and very good in the style. 87pts

Golden yellow - pretty impressive richness of color. A floral and delicate nose. Fairly acidic, medium bead, floral notes in the mouth. Low yeast, very approachable. Very nice. My first wine from New Mexico and i was very impressed. Excellent value.

A lighter style rose from New Mexico. I love the bit of watermelon notes, and yes I said New Mexico, these guys are doing a great job – try a taste & you will want a second.

I couldn't believe this wine came from New Mexico. It has a great nose, sometimes difficult to get in a sparkling wine, and has some great citrus fruits going on.

This is a delightful champagne, and well-priced. Not enough glasses per bottle.....!

I am a New Mexico native. I have been told for 25 years now that New Mexico wines were going to come into their own. In the last couple of years that is starting to come true. This sparkling wine is truly one of those wines. It is rich, and fruity with a modicum of acidity. We will be enjoying two bottles of this tonight to ring in the new year.

The rich and toasty character of our Blanc de Noirs is balanced and superb. Aged for two-year minimum, the palate is developed and shows rich complex flavors. The amazing berries aromas and the creamy texture play a leading role and create a great finesse. Winemaker's Note: A fine salmon color, aggressive mousse and a lovely fruity wine with plenty of immediate charm and toasty aromas. There is also an explosive juicy flavor of raspberry. "If there's a better sparkling wine made in America - or anywhere else, for that matter - that delivers this kind of quality at that low a price, I haven't tasted it." -Matt Kramer "The Blanc de Noirs received one of my highest ratings. Even the non-vintage Brut was excellent... this is a winery that merits attention..." -Robert Parker "QUESTION: Can New Mexico produce wines of character and balance? ANSWER: Gruet Winery." -Wine Enthusiast

Pale straw appearance. Medium-bodied. Moderately extracted. Citrusy, melon-kile aromas. Fruit salad flavors that follow. Rather brashly fruity and straightforward.

An attractive salmon color introduces a sparkler with a lively mousse and striking Pinot Noir raspberry aromas. Aged for 24 months en tirage, it developed a complex flavour profile of berry fruits, a soft, velvety and creamy texture and exciting toasty notes. Full of charm and elegance, this sparkler finishes with loads of raspberry juiciness.Since 1989, when Gruet launched its first 400 cases of sparkling wine made by the Champagne method, it has grown to more than 80,000 cases with distribution in 47 states. At its price point, it offers hefty competition to most domestic sparklers.Because of its sprightly mousse and solid fruit core, it harmonizes well with smoked salmon canapés as an aperitif or with a first course of poached salmon and either a dollop of dill or basil mayonnaise. Serve it blind, then ask your wine aficionado friends where they believe its origins are. If they say, New Mexico, offer them a second glass because they’re darn good!
