Wonderful wine. Drank 2007, 19 years after vintage - it is at peak maturity. WHat a finish!! Tobacco- bomb. This is real wine

Surprisingly drinkable for an 88. looong finish... Thick leathery. Mature floral notes on the bouquet.

This tight and powerful red has lots of tannin and fruit concentration. Full-bodied with lovely violet and berry aromas and flavors. Built for aging... Wine Spectator.

The 1988 is probably a 30-year wine. Extremely hard and backward but concentrated long and full-bodied it reminded me of the 1975 only less savage. Let s hope the fruit holds up... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
