Grove Mill Riesling Marlborough 2009

Member Review by yokuo:

2007 Grove Mill Riesling ($17, find this wine) As often seems to be the case with New Zealand Rieslings, a little sweetness seems only to intensify and focus the flavors of lime zest and pear in this wine; it's got a nice floral note on the nose, too.

Riesling 2009 - 85 Points & Best Buy, Wine Enthusiast / Light in body despite 12.5% alcohol, this lithe, sinewy Riesling is almost dry in style, with zippy pineapple and citrus fruit tracing a lean path down the palate. Drink now.

Best Wines Tasted in 2005/ Stainless steel fermented. Color: light gold. Aromas: apricot, peach, and a hint of grapefruit predominant on the nose. Palate: fresh fruit flavors with apricot, peach, and grapefruit. Crisp acidity.

Riesling 2008 - 89 Points, Wine Review Online/ This wine is unusual in that it is a very affordable Riesling with a friendly, non-pretentious label, but the wine is dry and will appeal to sophisticated palates as well as those who generally buy mass-market wines.  It is medium-bodied, fresh and crisp, with lively, high acidity and aromas and flavors that quietly suggest peaches, apples and mineral character. It makes a lovely accompaniment to tomatoes with mozzarella, fish dishes and light meat entrees.

Original Riesling 2007 - Wine Enthusiast/ Blue Fish's Original Riesling is a medium-bodied, off-dry wine in modern packaging. It's less acidic than most Pfalz Rieslings, coating the mouth with hints of vegetable oil and citrus.

Holy Mole - Wines with Mexican Food/ A good type of wine to look for is one with some sweetness, which offsets the heat of the chilies. Off-dry German Rieslings are great choices here because they have alcohol levels as low as 7 percent along with razor sharp acidity. Blue Fish is an excellent value.
