Grove Mill Riesling Marlborough 2009
2007 Grove Mill Riesling ($17, find this wine) As often seems to be the case with New Zealand Rieslings, a little sweetness seems only to intensify and focus the flavors of lime zest and pear in this wine; it's got a nice floral note on the nose, too.Add winemaker's notes

External Reviews for Grove Mill Riesling Marlborough
Riesling 2010 - 88 points, Wine Spectator/ Light-bodied and fresh, with racy acidity enlivening flavors of anise, fresh quince, blanched almond and grapefruit zest. Lacy, with a delicate finish.
Riesling 2008 - 88 points, International Wine Cellar/ Pale bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of lime, white flowers and powdered stone: this could only be riesling. Then juicy, pure and penetrating, with tightly coiled flavors of citrus peel and minerals. Very strong, dry basic riesling with excellent definition and a persistent finish.
Riesling 2009 - 87 points, Wine Advocate/ There is a combination of sage, white pepper, and chalk dust aromatic pungency and textural bite that certainly claims one’s attention, all embedded in a bright matrix of fresh lime and finishing with lift and refreshment.
/ Tangy, with lime and pear fruit that remains juicy and vibrant through the finish. On the dry side...with dramatic aromatics that give it something extra.
Riesling 2007 - Silver Medal, Tasters Guild / TASTERS GUILD conducts an Annual International Wine Judging in the spring when hundreds of newly released wines are judged by panels of experts.
Riesling - The Wall Street Journal : "Here’s to a Very Good Year: 10 Wine Resolutions - #2-Drink More Riesling"/ If dry [Riesling] is your preference you can’t do better than the Rieslings from Trimbach, one of Alsace’s oldest producers.”
Riesling 2008 - 90 points, Wine Spectator/ There's a pleasant salty tanginess to this wine, underscoring flavors of Gala apple, grapefruit and stone, with a hint of petrol. Clean and well-defined by the firm acidity, yet well-meshed and elegant overall, with a mouthwatering finish.
