A Chardonnay wine from California in USA. 2008 Groth Chardonnay 750ml
Shows rich, forward pineapple tart and cregrave;me brucirc;leacute;e flavors that are satisfying and dry. Delicious and spicy, although itrsquo;s just a bit sharp. Drink now.
Long, cool fermentation in a mixture of old and new barrels gives our Chardonnay layers of fruitiness and complexity that result in a wine that is very enjoyable when young or after several years of bottle age. This method of fermentation, in conjunction with whole cluster pressing and "sur lie" aging add layers of toastiness and creaminess to the wine. Together these components meld together harmoniously to create a balanced wine that is both lively and rich in aroma and flavor.
Rich and creamy, with full-bodied pear, melon, honeysuckle and tangerine flavors that are pure, focused, complex and lingering. Drink now through 2013. 6,400 cases made. -JL Wine Spectator. A Chardonnay wine from California in USA. 2008 Groth Chardonnay 750ml

By using a combination of old and new oak, Groth crafts a Chardonnay with well-integrated, toasty creaminess and rich apple-pear fruit. Drink now or cellar for a few years to allow further development.
